2018 was a banner year for the Trust’s Bench Sponsorship Program, with 18 new benches installed in the Park from Marsden Bridge in Potomac to Lock 75 near Cumberland!
Fifteen of the benches were donated by Daofeng He and his wife, Angela Yang Cui, through their family foundation. Big fans of the C&O Canal National Historical Park, Daofeng and Angela made their generous donation to fill the need they saw for comfortable places for people to sit and get back to nature. Their 15-bench donation extended the bench program upriver from Great Falls along the length of the canal.
