Town of Hancock

Access shops and dining in down town Hancock by crossing an iron truss bridge over the canal to the intersection of Main and Church Street. Hancock is a small town with rich history as an earlier frontier settlement subject to Indian raids, an economy built by developing transportation systems in the nineteenth century, and a town greatly affected during the Civil War as armies sought to control the intersection of three transportation routes: road, canal and railroad.
