Donations to the C&O Canal Trust

10,150 donations have financially supported the C&O Canal Trust over the past 10 years.

The work of the C&O Canal Trust, in support of the C&O Canal National Historical Park, would not be possible without our generous donors! Our donors give generously, both financially and with volunteer hours, to help support the work we do for the Park. Over 10,000 financial gifts have been made over the past 10 years to support the work of the C&O Canal Trust, and we thank you if you were one of those!

Financial Contributions:

Gifts may be made at any time, either by mail or on our website. Donors can choose to make individual gifts, a recurring monthly or annual gift, include the C&O Canal Trust in their estate plan, make a gift in honor or memory of a friend or loved one, and give through their workplace. You can choose to Create Your Own Fundraiser with proceeds going to the Trust, purchase a bench to be placed in the Park, join our William O. Douglas Society for higher-level donors, or have your gift earmarked for specific funding priorities selected by the Trust and the Park. Volunteer Contributions:

There are a variety of ways to support the C&O Canal Trust as a volunteer. Our Canal Pride program offers public events each spring as well as year-round events for private and corporate groups. You can volunteer as a Quartermaster and help maintain our Canal Quarters lockhouses, help with our major fundraising gala, Park After Dark, in September, or become a Social Ambassador which gets you involved in helping to promote the Trust and our work and events through your own social media networks.
