Widmeyer Park, on the banks of the Tonoloway Creek and located in the west end of Hancock, has five pavilions, multiple playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts, a ball field, horseshoes, volleyball, plenty of parking, wheelchair access, and a public swimming pool (in season).

The Veterans War Memorial is made of mostly granite and stands in Widmeyer Park in Hancock. The monument is etched with the names of about 900 Hancock veterans who served in the military from the Civil War through the Persian Gulf War.
