Nestled in the corner on the first floor of the historic Entler Hotel building sits Shepherdstown Visitor Center. Staff awaits from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily to help guide you through the array of places to eat, shop, play, and stay in Shepherdstown. The Visitor Center offers a calendar of events happening around town and is conveniently located next to the Historic Shepherdstown Museum.
During your visit to Shepherdstown, be sure to stop by the Visitor Center and discover the history and modern amenities one of Budget Travel’s “Coolest Small Towns” has to offer.

There has been a lapse in appropriations, and a shutdown of the federal government is currently in effect. Much of the C&O Canal National Historical Park remains accessible to the public, however, the National Park Service is not able to operate as normal. Scheduled C&O Canal Trust events and Canal Quarters reservations will continue as scheduled.
