Mecklenburg Inn
The Mecklenburg Inn or the “Meck”
is an English pub with a garden courtyard. They only offer bar service and serve food Thursday through Monday. Lodging is available above the bar upon reservation. The Meck is a 21 and over bar. At mile marker 72.7, take the circuitous ramp from the towpath to Shepherdstown Pike. At the top of the ramp, turn left and cross the bridge on a wide sidewalk. Continue for 1 mile and then turn left on W. German St., following signs for downtown Shepherdstown. Continue for .2 miles, and the Meck will be on your right.
