Through a close partnership with the National Park Service, these historic, 200-year-old lockhouses have been rehabilitated and furnished for overnight accommodation and interpretive programming. These are now available to reserve for up to three nights!
The entirety of your registration fee is used to maintain these historic structures, and to provide educational programming and outreach relating to the history of the Canal and its lock keepers. Thank you for your support!
Each of our seven lockhouses are themed for a specific part of the Canal’s history, and can accommodate up to 8 overnight guests. Cookware, dishes, utensils, and cleaning supplies are provided. Guests must supply their own linens. Detailed information on sleeping arrangements and amenities will vary by house.

These lockhouses are professionally cleaned between visits. Guests should still plan to leave the house tidy and remove trash before departure.

These lockhouses are not professionally cleaned between visits, but are routinely inspected by volunteers. Guests should leave the house clean and tidy for the next visitors.
