Brunswick Family Campground has tent sites, RV sites, and four cabins. They have a bathhouse, camp store, playground, and two pavilions. They are operated by River & Trail Outfitters and often offer special discounts to campsite users for other River & Trail activities. River and Trail Outfitters is a family run business serving Harpers Ferry and surrounding areas since 1972. They offer a variety of trips including whitewater rafting, tubing, zipping, biking, camping, hiking, and paddling tours. Brunswick Family Campground is right off the towpath at mile marker 54.5.

There has been a lapse in appropriations, and a shutdown of the federal government is currently in effect. Much of the C&O Canal National Historical Park remains accessible to the public, however, the National Park Service is not able to operate as normal. Scheduled C&O Canal Trust events and Canal Quarters reservations will continue as scheduled.
