Lockhouse 22 (Pennyfield) Open House – June 29

Take a tour of historic Lockhouse 22 (also called Pennyfield), one of seven 1830’s era rehabilitated lockhouses in the C&O Canal Trust’s award-winning overnight interpretive Canal Quarters program. Learn about the work and daily lives of the lockkeepers and how you can sleep on a rope bed, cook over a fire, and wake up to the sounds of nature along the canal.
