Open House at Abner Cloud House

The Abner Cloud House is one of the oldest extant structures in C&O Canal National Historical Park, having witnessed more than 200 years of history. The home, situated at Fletchers Cove in Washington, D.C., is still lovingly cared for today through a partnership between the NPS and The Colonial Dames of America, Chapter III.
The Dames will be opening the house to visitation on the first Sunday of the month in both November and December, and you are invited to have a look! The Abner Cloud House was closed to visitation earlier in 2019 while historic preservation work on the windows was taking place, but now that the work is complete, we are happy to open it for your enjoyment once again. The open house will take place from noon until 5:00 p.m. on both Sunday, November 3rd and Sunday, December 1st. We hope to see you there!
