Free Lecture and Open House – African American CCC Camps on the C&O Canal

Join us on Sunday, February 25, at the historic Great Falls Tavern from 12 noon - 1:00 p.m. for a free lecture, followed by a free open house from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. at Lockhouse 10. The free lecture, hosted by the C&O Canal Trust and the C&O Canal National Historical Park, will be presented by Dr. Josh Howard about the two African American Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camps that existed along the C&O Canal from 1938-1942.

 

RSVPs are required for the lecture as seating is limited to 25 guests. Parking fees at Great Falls will be waived for those who RSVP for the lecture. Click here for additional information and to RSVP.
