Dam 5 Bike Tour

Meet park volunteer, Lowell Markey, at Lock 44 in Williamsport for a relaxed pace guided bike ride to Dam 5 with stops along the way to discuss canal history. The ride is approximately 13 miles round trip, please plan accordingly. At Dam 5, the role of dams, guard locks, and lift locks in operating a canal transportation system will be discussed. Helmets required. Fat tire and hybrid bikes recommended, but not required. Parking is available at Lock 44.
