Directions to Lockhouse 21

From Washington, DC: Follow River Road West from 1-495 toward Potomac, Maryland. Pass town of Potomac and Falls Road and continue west to Swains Lock Rd. Turn left (south) on Swains Lock Rd. and follow until it dead ends into the C&O Canal. Park in the spot behind the lockhouse.
