PLEASE NOTE:
Upon reaching the Lock 10 parking lot, guests may encounter equipment related to the ongoing maintenance and repair of the Potomac Interceptor and canal prism. These may include traffic cones, fencing, signage, and maintenance vehicles.
The Lock 10 parking lot is open to park visitors, and the maintenance road leading to Lockhouse 10 is accessible. Towpath access remains unchanged, but visitors may see signs of ongoing construction in the general vicinity of Locks 5-14.

From Washington, DC/I-495: Follow Clara Barton Parkway west from Georgetown Pass Chain Bridge and continue on Clara Barton Parkway. Parkway becomes a divided road at this point. Follow parkway past Cabin John. Beltway exits to Carderock exit. Take the exit, take a left, then follow signs to reenter Clara Barton Parkway Eastbound. Signs for Lock 10 parking areas will be on your right. Park in Lock 10 lot, or in front of the lockhouse. Direct Lockhouse parking is just past the “authorized vehicles only” sign. Direct parking accommodates 2-3 vehicles.
