This year’s National Park Week theme is “Celebrate America’s Story” where we celebrate the rich tapestry of stories that have created and sustained our national parks. Stay in a Historic Lockhouse
Explore the history of the C&O Canal through the Canal Quarters Interpretive Program! Rehabilitated lockhouses interpret different eras of the canal’s history and provide unparalleled access to the park. Funds raised through the program go directly to supporting the preservation of the houses and other historic structures in the park.
