Mary’s Wall

Mary's Wall is part of the dry laid wall that was created on either side of Bear Island. It is one of the tallest, over 50 feet tall, dry laid walls still in existence. To help protect it, that section of the towpath is off limits to even park vehicles. From the top of it, views of the Potomac Gorge are stunning.
