About the Event

This unique event, held under the stars, is the C&O Canal Trust’s annual fundraising gala in support of the C&O Canal National Historical Park (NHP). Nearly 200 guests will enjoy great food, libations, a campfire, music, and more…all to benefit the Park!

Proceeds from the event support the mission of the C&O Canal Trust, and directly fund preservation programs of the C&O Canal NHP, which hosts five million visitors each year along its 184.5-mile length. Park After Dark is the largest fundraising event held annually to benefit our Park.

Fund-A-Need Paddle Raise
Park After Dark will feature a Fund-A-Need paddle raise to support the C&O Canal Trust’s outdoor education program, Canal For All. Learn more about Canal For All and get ready to raise your paddle!

Become a Sponsor
Park After Dark Sponsors are key to the success of the evening. We offer a variety of sponsorship levels.

COVID-related Protocol
The C&O Canal Trust is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all guests, staff, and volunteers in attendance at Park After Dark. We ask that everyone in attendance be vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide a negative test result. In addition to holding the event outdoors, we will have reduced seating capacity and individually prepared gourmet meals. Please contact us by Friday, September 9 to let us know of any dietary restrictions.

Please Note: This is a rain or shine event. In the unlikely event Park After Dark is cancelled due to severely inclement weather, the cost of your ticket will be considered a 100 percent tax-deductible donation to the C&O Canal Trust. Revenue raised at Park After Dark is critical to the Trust’s ability to support the C&O Canal National Historical Park.
