Each lockhouse in the Canal Quarters program offers a distinctive visitor experience to appeal to a wide variety of tastes.
Low Season (November 1 - March 31)
Lockhouse 6 and 10 - $100 weekday; $125 weekend/holiday
Lockhouse 22, 25, and 28 - $70 weekday; $85 weekend/holiday
Lockhouse 49 - $85 weekday; $100 weekend
High Season (April 1 - October 31)
Lockhouse 6 and 10 - $125 weekday; $150 weekend/holiday
Lockhouse 22, 25, and 28 - $85 weekday; $100 weekend/holiday
Lockhouse 49 - $100 weekday; $115 weekend
Before you register, there are a number of things you should know. The maximum occupancy of each lockhouse is 8. Visitors must provide their own linens. Every lockhouse comes equipped with beds, dishes and utensils for eating. After reviewing the pages for the lockhouses, where you can find additional information about what each has to offer, you are ready to sign up. The proceeds from Canal Quarters registrations support the ongoing efforts of the C&O Canal Trust to protect, restore, and promote the C&O Canal National Historical Park. The lockhouses in the program are overseen and maintained by volunteer Quartermasters for the use and enjoyment of park visitors.
